Physics and Mathematics student at the Universidad de los Andes (2020-Current). My academic interests revolve around the various applications of differential geometry and differential topology in Physics. During the development of my thesis I studied Lorentzian geometry and general relativity from a thermodynamic point of view, a topic that in turn led me to study thermodynamics of black holes and quantum field theory in curved space-times. Currently, I am working with the Hawking-Penrose singularity theorems. In the future, I would be interested in studying the relationships between differential topology and condensed matter physics, interpretations of topological invariants in physics, and applications of K-theory. My motivation for the study of these topics arises from the great applicability and versatility of geometric tools within the context of Physics, which suggests that this theory is a strong mathematical model for the description of new phenomena.
